Halloween Festivities 2013

We had our annual Pumpkin Carving Party in the barn.  The weather was perfect.  We had plenty of donuts and chocolate milk and some Honeycrisp apples sliced up to share.  It's becoming a fun tradition.

And for Halloween we had a spooky joker man and a dazzling Mermaid.
We went to my grandma's house for soup and then the kids ransacked the neighborhood for goodies!  Nate went with them (he LOVES taking the kids around trick or treating) and I stayed at my grandma's with Caroline and visited with my mom and dad and Rob & Ashley.

The kids got tons of candy.  A few days after Halloween, when the Twix and Reeses and tangy sours were gone, the kids traded their candy to the Switch Witch and she brought them each a little surprise.  Greatest thing ever.  Good riddance, sugarbugs!
